Labour’s Gilmore an old whore trying to sell herself in bad light

‘clients’ ignoring the smell of rotting principles

Connolly roaring mad through the Hall of the Slain

the Party shroud the dead skin of social justice

a few decent people having the decency to resign

the damned generation pouring out into a vindictive world

the new concentration camp terminal quietly efficient

airlines clamouring to take bodies away

putrid politicians bent over backwards towards The Troika

diligently stealing from the corpse of old Ireland

How splendid in the morning glows the lily: with what 
grace he throws
His supplication to the rose: do roses nod the head, Yasmin?

But when the silver dove descends I find the little flower of 
friends
Whose very name that sweetly ends I say when I have said, 
Yasmin.

The morning light is clear and cold: I dare not in that 
light behold
A whiter light, a deeper gold, a glory too far shed, Yasmin.

But when the deep red eye of day is level with the lone 
highway,
And some to Meccah turn to pray, and I toward thy bed, 
Yasmin;

Or when the wind beneath the moon in drifting like a soul 
aswoon,
And harping planets talk love's tune with milky wings 
outspread, Yasmin,

Shower down thy love, O burning bright! For one night or 
the other night,
Will come the Gardener in white, and gathered flowers are

somewhat ironically holding grudges is a very Irish thing, there is a reasonable amount of evidence here in North Ireland that we are learning to forget the grudges. This remains seasonal, at this time.

Saji Darwish - the march of the Israeli Reich

Saji Darwish was killed by the Israeli Army yesterday with a bullet to the back of his head. He was a media student at Birzeit University. He was 18 years old.

It is very sad to see this... I say to people everywhere we must raise up our voices in protest... it is beholden on all of us to resist the Israeli state at every level;... no matter how small the contribution it will help our comrades the Palestinians...

I call on everyone to boycott Israeli goods and furthermore to take an active role in ensuring they are not sold in Ireland.

Poem - Looking Back at Earth

looking back at earth
that pang of regret
will I see her again
or feel the pull of her g
gravity..
the drug of the space junkie
take in small doses only
for now free in flight 
my mind roams unhindered
far behind the networked ad hoardings
their cheap laser light pale 
in the rich black blue of space
starlight reflected in the metal seed
all around
feed me  nurture me  protect me 
as down the fallopian road my ship crawls
a few parsecs more
from the body of the earth mother
just as in far history
the first mothers
carried the ancestors 
on the inside
or so they say
body to body
seed to skin
m times v = f
as I force myself out into
the universe

"On November 27th, Michael Deas, ECCP representative and coordinator in Europe with the Palestinian Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions National Committee (BNC), gave a talk in the European Parliament about European businesses involvement in illegal Israeli settlements. It was the first time that the topic of EU involvement in illegal Israeli settlements was presented in detail in the European Parliament by a civil society organization."

"According to international law as applied in the 2004 International Court of Justice advisory 

opinion on Israel’s wall and settlements, third party states are violating their own obligations to 

not recognize nor render aid or assistance to these serious Israeli violations by allowing financial 

and economic activity with the settlements to continue."

His father Ernest Guevara Lynch said "The first thing to note is that in my son's veins flowed the blood of the Irish rebels", he said in a 1969 interview. He went on: "Che inherited some of the features of our restless ancestors. There was something in his nature which drew him to distant wandering, dangerous adventures and new ideas".
